I would like to offer photography in the following areas: 

Digitisation of Collections

Another area that has become very important recently is that of the ‘digitisation of collections’. The objective is to provide a digital file of each item. This allows instant global access to a collection. The importance of this can not be over estimated. This can be undertaken by using professional digital cameras to photograph artworks. Or by scanning and digitising existing archives, such as collections of negatives and transparencies. It is also very important to use high end professional scanners for these projects as this will result in a digital archive that is perfect for internet use and for good quality reproductions. 

Teaching Digital photography

Sometimes I run training sessions  for Artists or Conservators who want to do their own photography. I will advise on what equipment they may need, then run practical sessions on how to get the best quality from their DigitalSLRs, and finally working out the best computer workflow for their photography. 

Pricing

As far as pricing goes I use a simple hourly rate plus any expenses incurred, eg fuel costs etc, this allows for easy cost calculations.  

I have fully insured equipment and full public liability insurance.

I am also registered with the Inland Revenue.
